Back and just climbed up 23 bloody floors as entire complex water and electricity down, lifts ain’t workin and it looked like an entire team fighting Godzilla downstairs. And guess what I found.... the apartment was unscratched. ???? Very lucky. But damage in the area is massive... badly hit. HK will take a little longer than usual to recover from this.. probably a day and a half. ?Because that’s the way the city rolls, m**f**!

This is my grandmother. She hails from the Yongchun, Fujian region of China. She then moved to live in Thailand, Sarawak, then immigrated to Singapore in the mid-1900s. My grandfather was a coolie who worked on the docks of the Singapore River. He was killed in an accident on the waterfront before I was born so she was the only paternal grandparent I got to see.
