How're you? How's everybody? Good? Happy? Rozy and I are back in hk. I have been away for quite a while...hee... Well, I had a good break, I had a great time, traveled to many different cities, had many first time experiences, saw many good old friends and visited my grandpa in Malaysia during the CNY, I've so much to share but i'll take it a step at a time.
Well I spent a lot of time at home in Singapore and one fine day, i brought my parents to a huge art materials shop and bought the complete set of oil painting equipments, including the stand, oil colors, brush, canvas, tinner, etc. Ha ha...i tried oil painting for the first time in my life. It ain't easy and the paint takes forever to dry. Anyways, for CNY, I did a cherry blossom painting for my family.
If you're wondering why I'm painting on the table instead of using the stand i bought...it's bcuz Rozy is using it.
I got my inspiration from the blossom tree Rozy brought in from HK. Haha...yes, she carried a tree from HK to Singapore . So sweet. It added so much life to the house!
Cherry blossoms...hmm actually i'm not that sure if it's called the Cherry blossom tree, well i'll just call it that if it doesn't bother you.
( Imagine someone calling a daisy a rose instead of a daisy, i'm sure i'll be bothered by it.)
...... Anyways, on New Year's Day, Rozy , My mum and i walked around the tree 3 times...clockwise and anticlockwise. It's supposed to bring you luck...according to my memory, which i think i lost it some time ago..haha... well, the main thing is..it's fun ! and my dad called us crazy.
Apart from Cherry Blossoms, I've taken a liking to Tulips too. I guess red roses are a bit dull these days..
I'd like to go to Holland someday to see the sea of tulips..
Only one more day to go and Chinese New year is over. Here's wishing all good people good luck, good health and stay good. Be patient to people around you and you'll realise that it does make a big difference.
lots of love,
race
