one sad EPL junkie ....

One thing that I miss badly in Beijing is watching live EPL (English Premier League) "footy" on the box ..... in order to watch live EPL games, one must go to one of the few gweilo-serviced sports bars, which are sparingling scattered around town .....  though that being said, the live coverage of the Euro Champions League games on cable BTV6 (Beijing TV Sports Channel) has been pretty damn excellent ......  they have shown nearly all games concerning the big four English clubs since the last 16.

Cutest  and dandiest thing is that it is totally pot luck late night Saturdays and Sundays on which Bundesliga (German), Serie A (Italian) or La Liga (Spanish) games they decide to show ....... there are no such thing as TV listings on the CCTV website or in newspapers ... haha ....  it's actually frustrating fun waiting to be surprised every weekend ..... Bayern or Inter or Barce .... who knows??

Anyway, I'm back in town for this week, so please do bear with me as I am writing this blog  just to kill time before I go down at 2.45am to patron one of the comfy   茶餐廳 on Tsat Tze Mui Road,  and watch the totally insignificant  Derby vs Arsenal end of season game.

With my current EPL withdrawal symtoms, even this shitty game can give me a quick little fix -- haha!

Champions League semi-final second leg tomorrow night ..... Man Utd will be going out
