with my pop music tastes seemingly permanantly time-warped and stuck in the 80s ... i was exceedingly happy when i learned last month that PSB (the Pet Shop Boys) were awarded the 2009 Brit Award (UK's top Pop Music Awards) for their "Outstanding Contribution to Music" ...

since they formed in the early 80's, the partnership of Neil Tennant & Chris Lowe, have go on to become the"Godfathers" of the Electro-Dance music ... the PSB are renowned for their catchy electro beats that magically "wing" and have an unstoppable way to stay in the head, as well as being the pioneers in the use of techno CG in their MVs .... they are fully deserving and too-long coming of such an accolade .... and what is coolest about the pair, is their diligent, modest and low-key personalities for which they are known for in the UK music scene ...
