Harder than the Killers and tighter than Pat Benatar ever was. Pure post-punk energy with a melodic heart. - MTV World
Steaming up the dance-rock scene from Shanghai to New York, PaperDoll's high-octane shows are gathering them friends from all over the globe.
PaperDoll returns to the US in 2011 after an overwhelming reception in China including shows at the Shanghai World Expo. Bringing crowds to their feet during their multi-city tour, actual TV headlines on the evening news about PaperDoll exclaimed..."US Band Overwhelms Expo Visitors!"
Their infectious high-energy sound can be heard in NIKE, Dayquil, Good Day New York, The Today Show, MTV, Blender, Maxim, Gotham, and a slew of films including critically acclaimed The People I've Slept With. PaperDoll's contagiously peppy video for single "If Nothing Happened "(also featured in a Vick's Dayquil commercial) was recently touted by Deli Magazine as a remedy for the Winter Blues.
PaperDoll's high octane shows-turned-all-out-raves are gathering them loyal fans all over the world, but the four-piece tour-de-force started in the dirty perdy Lower East Side of New York City. Teresa Lee met Irish native Patrick Moloney in the open mic circuit and along with NJ transplants - Chip Thomas and Jack Koch. In May 2009, Jack Koch (bass) left the band and Steve Paelet joined - rounding out the rhythm section.
"PaperDoll is tearing the city a new ars*ole!" ~ Weekender Shanghai
New York's premiere indie dance-pop band, PaperDoll has been compared to No Doubt, The Cure, and Muse. Their unique blend of rock, pop, and good old-fashioned dance-till-you-drop shows have made them a must-see in the live music scene.
