Hello everyone,
So I have landed in NYC for 2 days now. And it has been a fun... Old memories keep popping up when I walk around town.
One thing I can say is that NYC is an interesting place...full of people from different classes who share the same goal-to live it in the big apple and make something out of it.
The city is still filthy. People still spit everywhere. Subway is oh so dirty than you can ever imagine. Crampy train ride with lots of smelly people.. Mexicans and Hispanics seem to be overpopulated here. Moreso than I noticed the last time.
And the attitude of people here never change. They just dont really give a fuck about anyone..maybe the city has molded them that way. I feel just fit right in. No manner or courtesy required here!! Taxi drivers, Waiters, Pedestrians, etc, they just dont give a shit about anyone else. They only care for themselves and how to make a living. And they always think everyone owe something to them.
A driver who refused to turn on a/c in summer and he himself so fat ans sweating and disgustingly smelly. Yet refuse to turn on the a/c. At the end of the ride, the fucker still expects great tips. Yep, thats the NY mentality. We gotta tip them for everything-even the bad freakinbg job. Otherwise, they give you free speech of how they think. And I give them back..lol
The waiter who refused to allow me to sit wherever I wanted when there was absolutely no customers. You gotta love it!
I think at least 50% of people who live here are mentally disturbing..or crazy, or mentally retarded.. or just pretend to be mentally retarded. I swaer to god most people here talk to themselves...especially in subway...Perhaps it really raise a critical question about how lost people are in the big city with no friends and no one they can trust... Just simply sad to me!
Went to the phone store trying to get a prepaid phone card. Asked the security guard who happened to be uneducated and black. (just coincidentally)... I asked if the store had a pre paid phone, and he looked at me with some confusion and said no. And when I asked if he knew where I could find it, he just looked at me and kept saying yeaaaa and nodded his head without saying anyting else...After much waited and felt like I could not get anything out of his stupid head, I turned around and hey idiot.. and walked out...
And then it hit me and I started to laugh.... I said to myself.. welcome to NYC ohm...:-)
While here and sitting at the cafe, I started this new project for fun. I called it "Perspecitive of the world from my window". Just observing people walking by...
Hope you enjoy!
Until next time,
Ohm
