New project and upcoming exhibition

Hello everyone,

Okay, I guess I have to be more active with AnD community!! It's hard however sometimes to juggle life and and handle so many things at one time.

So the latest update is I had a shoot with disabled people two weeks ago. I put a twist on it this time by blending in fashion and art together. I had my students as my assistants during the shoot so that they could learn how to handle a shoot. Below are the products of the shoot. 7 people, 7 shots.

I will also be annoucing my upcoming group show in Bangkok soon. The show will be opening on March 13. Details to follow.

Marie Jost

Some powerful stuff, mixing the gloss of fashion with the documentary element. It is also interesting to see how these people inhabit their bodies as opposed to the beautiful youngsters who bring surface gloss, but little else, to a photoshoot. Rather than presenting an impenetrable blank slate for the photographer to work with, these people bring a lifetime of hard experience that you, as the photographer, must grapple with. The juxtaposition of the tropes of commercial fashion with the searing reality of these people's lives adds so much to this work.
