My week!

Hello everyone,

First off, Happy Chinese New Year to you all!! I hope thie year will bring the best to each and everyone of you.

My week has been relatively bland with some here and there excitements and news, which I will update you.

So lets start with my recent trip (although not the most recent one) to the beach with Quinn while he was visiting last month.. He looks retarded in most of the pics, so please forgive him for that. :-)

Two days ago, at the gym (CA wow), someone broke into my locker and stole my 5000 Bht, which was a total surprise for me. Well, to give more sense to the story, I must tell you that the night before the incident, I went with my friends to see a fortune teller. She said I would have a surprise...And I was like okay whatever...

Now when I went to the gym, everything was so normal, just like another routine day for me. But after I finished the gym, I walked back to the locker to shower, and I noticed there was no lock on the locker, so that was a bit of a surprise.. I thought maybe I forgot to lock it..But when I opened the locker, my wallet was opened and my money was gone. I was in total surprised and shock..Never thought such thing would happen at the gym...Went to report to the staff, and they didnt do jack shit..only said sorry, and I was like okay, these fools are not even going to write a report..So i had to make a scene and talked with the manager, who was apologetic and promised there would be a tighter security in the locker room. so maybe the fortune teller knew something was going to happen??

These past week, I have seen 3 fortune tellers, not sure why I did that, but I guess I need some sort of comfirmation to something I have no clue of...:-) and the fact that I did go see so many of them in one week was also out of my character.. 

Yesterday, I went to the Elephant stay in Ayuttaya (a hour away from Bangkok) to talk about the project that they wanted me to be involved in doing an exhibition and a book project about the never seen before intimate relationship between Mahouds (elephants' trainers) and Elephants. It was effective and nice..But at the end, I got chased by a baby elephant. People said they just wanted to play, but considering its size, the play could turn tragic..and I had to run my ass to avoid being stomped. :-(

There are some unruly elephants there that already killed 7 people including its owner before being transported to the elephant stay. This place is the last resort for most elephants. Some of them are there so that they wont be killed by angry relatives who lost their loved one because of the elephants.

On my way back, I stopped at the ruined temple which has a long history of more than 2000 years. It was a bit haunting to walk around the temple at 9 o'clock at night. The feeling was unsettling. There were so many lives lost in there from the battle Thailand had with Burma thousands of years ago. Now the only things we see were ruins and beheaded buddha statues...

I have about 3 weeks left before departing BKK for the U.S , but there are so many things to do...I hope I will be able to finish them before leaving.

I am not sure how everyone's week has unfolded, but I do hope you guys have a productive week this week and enjoy life and the weather, whereever you are.
