Who has an iconic tuft of blonde hair on his head, wears plus fours and sniffs out the news with his pet dog in tow? Sound familiar?
If you guessed ‘Tintin’, then you guessed right.
The character of Tintin, an intrepid reporter, was created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remil (aka Herge) sometime in 1929.
And today, some eight decades later, Tintin comes to life on the big screen in “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn”, with the help of the latest motion capture technology.
Motion capture technology has been used in certain segments of films like “The Lord of The Rings” and “King Kong”, but “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” is the first production to utilize this technology throughout.
It allows the production crew to create a vibrant, life-like world for Tintin to inhabit, and impart a much more human ‘feel’ to the characters – thereby giving audiences a more immersive experience.
