Let’s just say hubba bubba? Who is this?
The first time I remember actually talking to Tim Chiou was at a fundraiser for a short film that I was co-producing with some of my friends for another filmmaker friend of mine ( Peter Long-Cuu Phan’s “This Will All Make Perfect Sense Some Day”, which earned itself a spot at last year’s Tribeca’s Film Festival and send the director successfully off to disappear to China…When are you coming back, Pitrie???). We called the fundraiser F-Stop (how ironic). Tim had made his way there looking all cool and hanging back with the cool people by the live-artists. I approached Tim to buy some raffle tickets from me. He bought five.
Ten minutes later, I went back and made him buy five more.
Tim has this very handsome rugged look to him, doesn’t he? I bet you he’s every Asian man’s fantasy: Tall, mysterious, smart.
It’s what got him the part on my short film “ Initiation” last year, where he played a rockstar sushi chef who intimidates and teaches a small apprentice his ways (none other than my favorite: Christopher Dinh) by introducing him to femme fatale Kathy Uyen. Amongst his posse are Jerry Ying, Simon Yi and David Lee McInnis. Anyway, Tim was so fabulous in this film. He had just finished his role on “Seventh Moon” playing Amy Smart’s hubby (yay!), and I was a big Tim fan from then on.
I still am, but one thing has changed: I whole-heartedly believe that Tim is just a big adorable dork now! An awkward lovable geek, trapped in a handsome man’s body. Why? Because the more I hang out with him, the more he makes me laugh in a non-playa kinda way. It’s more like when you hang out with your siblings and chuckle at everything they say, because they’re just so silly. Ladies, if you’re not taken, you should get your hands on this one. I’m taking applications on his behalf.
In the meantime, don’t be intimidated by lovely Katie Savoyin his arms here. Katie is an accomplished actress in her own right, as well as a model. This girl knows how to pose! It’s so fun to shoot people where, no matter what you do, you can’t ruin the picture!
Tim and Katie came in for an editorial session for their presskits and whatnot. It was a pleasure to work with Tim again and to get to know Katie.
Oh, and here’s my absolute favorite picture of Katie. She’s so rockin’!
Oh, by the way…one of my Berlin pictures of the Charlottenburg Palace was published in an online Berlin guide! Yay! Read here.
Also, AOL’s Andi’s Date book wrote an article on boudoir photography here, interviewing me.
Uhm… I guess today I felt like bragging. Don’t hate!
Happy viewing! I look forward to meeting you all!
