After a long productive writing session glued to my computer, I am rewarding myself with a glass of wine, the company of my doggie, and an amazing book. "To Paint Is To Love Again" by Henry Miller. Miller was a writer who fell in love with water color painting. He describes his relationship and views between the two art forms and how art awakened his soul to look more carefully at the world around him. The book was brought to my attention by my cousin @ukqd, who tagged me in a wonderful article. I felt compelled to find a copy. This book is on the rarer side, and I managed to somehow snatch up a first edition, first printing copy online that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I used to feel sad that I didn't have a "mentor", who just kinda gets me. Writing, reading, yoga...all are such lonesome activities. Then, I finally realized that I could still learn from the greats and learn from their wisdoms by reading about them. Not that I'm one of the "greats," but I do feel like I'm not alone with my many thoughts when I connect with them through their works. Thank you, @hellomimi for the awesome #havainas!
