Oh My Zombie Mermaid!

Discotek Media has confirmed the US DVD release on July 28th of the movie that began life as "House of Smack Down', then became 'Oooh my house collapse!' and finally hit DVD as "Oh My Zombie Mermaid'!Directed by Naoki Kudo and Terry ito, with fight choreography by former Donnie Yen protege Kenji Tanigaki, the movie was produced by Soft On Demand, a Japanese Adult Movie Company. The film has become a cult classic, mixing violent action, tragic drama, silly comedy and a plot that defies belief in one hell of an entertaining ride.Kouta (the late Shinya Hashimoto), the leader of a pro-wrestling organization called "Zero", is planning an over-the-top housewarming at his new mansion. The not-so-lucky attendees include his sister Nami (Sonim), TV producer Yamaji (Shiro Sano), and jealous party-crashing rival Ichijoh (Nicolas Pettas). Of course Ichijoh's appearance ignites an epic battle which all but destroys the entire place. Kouta's wife, Asami (Urara Awata), manages to escape the melee, but not before sustaining injuries which require medical attention. Unfortunately, Asami contracts a mysterious disease. Meanwhile, the ratings-obsessed Yamaji concocts a plan to broadcast the most epic wrestling battle ever conceived.The movie not only features action and stunt choreography by very old friend Kenji Tanigaki, but also features another An'D'er Ian Powers http://www.alivenotdead.com/ianpowers  among the stunt crew and another buddy the incredible Sylvester 'Bear/Predator' Terkay who I just worked with on Yuen Woo-ping's 'True Legend', playing one of the wild villains, imagine Fred Flintstone with added road rage!the film could best be  summed up as "WWE' meets 'Robotrix' meets 'Story of Ricky' meets japanese action madness at its maddest!The DVD comes with a wide range of special features including;* Making Of
