I have mixed feelings about this strike for personal reasons... it's fucking my shit up. I just want to work. But I understand that writers need to be treated fairly.
The only thing that really bothers me in this whole situation is that the WGA has said it will blacklist for life any non-Guild writer (meaning they aren't in the Writer's Guild of America) who works on a non-Guild signatory project (meaning a project that wouldn't be paying Guild wages and is in no way beholden to the Guild rules). The people that would effect are those writers who are just trying to break into the business. That's crappy.
Regardless, I am all far fair wages. If you are too, you can help support this upcoming Tuesday in Los Angeles by coming out.
