feeling pretty annoyed these days... have been training for my first standard chartered marathon for feb 17, and last weekend i sprained a tendon in my right foot. doc said i had to give it 2-3 weeks, 2 weeks at a minimum. and these are the two most critical two weeks, where i'm supposed to be doing my long runs! crap crap crap.
there's still a chance of recovering soon enough to give it a shot, but it's going to be real tough. it's not like a 10k or even a half marathon, where you can struggle through it. 42km is nothing to play with... people say, hey, you've done the trailwalker of 100km, so you could def do this. but i hiked the trailwalker in 28 hours - running 42 km is like 4-5 hours of intense pain. the trailwalker is more like 30 hours of dull pain.
and part of the reason i wanted to give the full marathon a shot, is to determine which is more painful. (that didn't seem to come out quite right, but anyway you get the gist).
and it's even more annoying to see all these people running and training in the streets, and they're starting their advertising flood on the radio, print everything! and i'm sitting around! and i'm told doing nothing is the best cure! arrgghh....
