A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. 千里之行，始於足下.

I've always been fascinated by traveling, foreign languages and cultures, which I think is reflected in both my personal background and hobbies: I've lived, studied and worked in six countries across Europe, North America and Asia; I am fluent in five languages; I practice Chinese and Brazilian martial arts.

What has most influenced my cosmopolitan lifestyle is my life-long passion for international cinema, in particular Hong Kong, US, Italian, Japanese and British films. Film has always had the power to transcend beyond mere entertainment and escapism and take me into the world of persuasion and discovery.

I have to thank my parents for this extremely interesting and diversified way of life. From a young age, they fostered my curiosity and appetite for learning as well as instilled in me the values of self-respect and respect for others.

I am trying to channel my passion for films (in particular the Chinese martial-arts & action genre) as well as international business experience & multilingual skills into an international film distribution career. Matias 罗意琛

SHORT BIO: Matias Lorieri 罗意琛 was born in Treviso, Italy and is a multilingual and globally experienced marketing professional as well as Hong Kong cinema aficionado. He is fluent in Italian, English, German, French and Spanish and speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese - he's currently busy with reaching the advanced level - and basic Cantonese.

Matias has worked in marketing for companies such as General Electric (GE), Piaggio Group, Marriott International, Jebsen Group, Active Interest Media (AIM) and Far East Consortium International across Europe, North America and Asia.

Matias is an M.B.A. Candidate at the University of Hong Kong (in partnership with Columbia University - Columbia Business School). He also received an M.Litt. in Marketing with concentration on Cultural Anthropology from the University of St Andrews (UK), a trilingual B.Sc. in Economics from the Free University of Bolzano (Italy) and was an undergraduate exchange student at the University of California in Los Angeles. He is also a Member (MCIM) at The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Matias currently resides in Guangzhou, China.
