It has been quite a while since I've updated my blog on AliveNotDead so I figured I'd punch a few keys and let everyone know what's been going on.
The relaunch of Lady Wasteland ( www.ladywasteland.com ) is progressing quite well. Greg Demchak and I have finished writing 10 new episodes which, strung together, make up a solid hour and a half TV pilot. We have meetings set up with companies for product placement / integration thanks to the help of our new partner a...Read more
So, 2009 is proving to be a pretty extraordinary year thus far, and it's only been three days. Going to be heading off to Vegas soon to meet up with some producers about directing a pretty decent sized film here in Oregon - that should be fun. Lady Wasteland is progressing quite well... getting set with product placement and have locations locked and loaded. Work for Laika has been going well and am prepping for another Autodesk job in a couple of weeks. If everything goes well... may also be doing a pretty massive film job for a...Read more
It has been quite a while since I last posted. For the past 3 months, I have been rebuilding my 1974 Comet from the ground up, working on an extensive project for Autodesk, editing documentaries for Laika's new feature film Coraline - www.coraline , and have been organizing a coalition of artists to form a new production company. This is on top of another webseries I am writing plus multiple Nike projects and jeez... I can't even keep listing.
Nice to stay busy though - st...Read more
It has been way too long since I lasted posted here... which is, needless to say, not very sporting of me since I enjoy coming to this site.
For the past 6 months, life has been quite insane. Outside of any personal details however - work has been awesome. I am in development of 15 new episodes of Lady Wasteland, which we intend on filming January 2009. I also recently returned from ComicCon in San Diego where one of my films, "I am Lloyd Hamlin" screened. During that time my former lead actress and I marketed Lady Wastela...Read more
Came up with a new term today: Pavemeant - "That which is meant to be paved... i.e... anything not paved previously."
Went and saw Sweeny Todd last night. Man, what an incredibly awesome movie. I was shocked with how much I enjoyed it. Musicals in general are complex constructs of cinema, often not engaged by audiences in manners which compliment the intrinsic dynamics of what it takes to create them. With Sweeny Todd however, the idea that a story can so fluidly exist in a world with musical chaos and beauty ...Read more
Here we go... Episode 5 is now live and we've two more episodes left to post. Thus far, we've been getting an amazing response, tens of thousands of hits from sites all over the world... and even talks of possible syndication. While I am a "Believe it when the check is cashed and cleared" type of guy, it's nice to see so many people being entertained. I just hope we can continue to do so... which is why this trip into the wasteland has only begun. Releasing the episodes is just the beginning... gett...Read more

Time is most impatient. It never grants me the leeway to spend more of it when I need to. The finality of this relationship between time and myself is so absolute, I feel like I am in an abusive relationship. It cares not about my goals and desires, dreams and aspirations, work habits or personal life... it only exists to keep moving. If I'm tired, it wakes me... stressed, it presses me... worried, it toys with me. I'm not sure how much longer I will allow it in my life...
The wasteland is decaying, along with my han...Read more
