Amazingly, I'm still going strong with the 25 for 25 project. This is just a quick update for those of you who are curious, (and yet not curious enough to subscribe to my project).
BEFORE: Could run 6 or 7 of the 25 minutes
NOW: Can run 15 of the 25 minutes.
BEFORE: Was only able to run non-stop for 1.5 to 2 minutes.
NOW: Can run without stopping at a 8:30 minute mile for 10 minutes.
BEFORE: Running brought my heart rate up to around 168 bps
NOW: I can run for 10 minutes and it onlyl goes up to around 155 bps
I had a little issue with my knees, so I did a day or two of cross training on the elliptical and bike machines. But I never stopped my 25 minutes of cardio / day, so that's a good thing. (This is nothing worth getting injured over. As long as I put in my daily exercise time, I'm happy.)
So, today is day 17. I have just 8 days left of my 25 for 25 challenge. It looks like I'm going to make it. Even if I don't reach my goal of being able to run for the full 25 minutes, I will at least reach my main goal of sticking with this for the whole 25 days.
And what is on the horizon? Well, I'll post up the details when I figure out what my next challenge will be. In the meantime, I'm focused on making sure I get this one all finished up.
One more week! Time to add some oil.
