I am finally able to participate in one of Jane's photo assignments! This time it was "Going Going Gone!" and we had to post up 6 pictures with lines, perspective and a vanishing !point. I whittled down my photos to 7 I liked, but I had to do 6 so I'm posting the 7th as an "honorable mention".
Most of these were from pictures I've taken before, and a bunch have already been posted here at some points in the past. But I did take one specifically for this (the ice) and I used a couple that I hadn't put up before to keep things relatively fresh.
Enjoy!
Caine Road This is one of my favorite pictures I took in Hong Kong. Taken right outside Pat and Stephen's apartment on Caine Road.
Shekou Umbrella I really like the colors in this one. The turquoise and red combination is really striking. This was taken in the Shekou area of Shenzhen, China.
Golden Gate Chains I like the yin-yang-esque perspective lines that the chain and bridge form together in the photo. You almost don't even notice the guy with the fishing pole adding to the picture.
Kowloon KCR Not sure why I like this one. Maybe just the textures or the hues. In any case, here it is. It was taken at the Kowloon West KCR (now MTR) station platform.
Smallville, Idaho This is one of the recent photos I took here in Driggs, Idaho. It reminds me of the image I have of Smallville, from when a young Clark Kent would run super fast through amber waves of grain.
Ice-cycles I took this today for this assignment. Lots of snow and ice here right now so I thought I would try to capture some of the frosty goodness too. This was hanging off the roof, right above my bedroom window.
And the Honorable Mention goes to ...
Taken as I was boarding a Shenzhen Airlines flight in China.
Thanks for looking at my photos!
