CARTOON LOGIC: Woodies with Walter Lantz

I’m pretty excited about picking up the the new Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection: Volume 2- but I’m not nearly as excited as the old men in this early 1920’s Jerry on the Job cartoon.

Believe it or not, Lantz was working on woody cartoons even before everyone’s favorite red-headed woodpecker. Check out the cartoon boners in the Lantz-animated “Swinging His Vacation” from 1920.
