鯖 = mackerel #鯵 = horse mackerel #鮪 = 一般的にはtunaですが、ヨーロッパではhorse mackerel とも呼ぶそうです。"horse"って「大きいもの」や、「何だか分からないけどあまり役に立たなそう」と言う時に使われます。すなわち、ヨーロッパ系の人々は鯖は重宝したけど、他の何だか分からないけど大きい魚をとりあえずhorse mackerel と名付けたのではないでしょうか？

I just wanted to let you know that I really wanted to join the Halloween party this year in HK, but I'm MC-ing again at the Roppongi Hills Halloween Parade so won't be able to make it.
