I was summoned for voluntary questioning about the man that got arrested several days ago for flashing in public.
As in the previous entry, I made that "911 call" (110 in Japan) last week for encoutering a naked runner. (well, not completely because he had his running shoes and perhaps his socks on)
A couple of days later, I read on news that a flasher got arrested in the same district.
A day after the news, I received a phone call from the police station.
" This is the akasaka police station. Is this Ms. Shoji?"
First I thought it was a prank...I mean, that's exactly what I say to my friends sometimes.
They wanted to check if I remembered the face of my strange encounter-er, suspecting that it might be the same guy.
It made great sense to me and was glad to receive that call, because the current news did not reveal the pic of the flasher that got caught, and I too was wondering if it was the same guy.
I was happy to help them in any way.
I met with two police officers who were dressed in normal suits, at a nearby starbux.
Both of them hiddenly showed me their badges!!
They gave me their name cards too, which I must say was relieving.
Frankly, I didn't quite remember the guy's face even after seeing the photo.
Maybe because I've already selectively erased that part of my memory.
Anyways, it was quite an exciting day.
