Bel Air in Pok Fu Lam is a cluster of concrete buildings that is meant to look posh and European however it looks more like ‘Euro-Disney’ due to kitschy details -like a sculpture of an Egyptian sphinx guarding the entrance or cheesy wrought iron barricades with leaves on them. Everything there seems contrived and has an element of artificiality much in the same way that the Stepford Wives were fake.
