My Galileo High School class of 1970 had it's 40th reunion. This is the first reunion I have attended. This is also the first real reunion organized by members of the class. It took forty years for some people to finally step foward and organize a reunion.
Of course being a photographer, I volunteered to be the official photographer. I even brought my studio portrait set to do portraits. I am surprised, no one ordered any prints. OK...I did send original files to anyone who asked. But not many asked.
Only two of our former class officers showed up. Here's our class president Marvie Wong with the organizers of the event, Gail Chong Megdadi, Nancy Yee, Lemoyne Wong and Galen Dea.
My cousins Meilon and Meilin Sam. We share the same great great grandparents.
This was my ideal.
You should have seen these guys fifty years ago!
Still can't tell the difference between the Fung twins.
**** I had a great time seeing people I haven't seen in forty years. It's interesting how there were so many I don't really remember at Galileo, but I more remember them from Marina Jr. High School, Commodore Stockton Elementary School and Kin Kuo Chinese School.
Well...I hope everyone stays in shape because the next reunion will be the 50th and we'll be sixty-eight years old on the average. I hope to be photographing that occasion.
