Before diving into my blog entry about Jeanne's wonderful workshop, I decided to write a simple blog about the beauty of HK. A beauty that lies beneath the hustle & bustle of daily life, that draws people like myself & many others I've come to know in this big city. I've found that people gathered here are drawn from all over the world, attracted to the life in this city - you just simply feel ALIVE. Completely different from the quiet surroundings in much of Singapore. The skyline. The night view is gorgeous. If you just take time to appreciate your surroundings, you'll realise what a beautiful city HK really is.In turn, I personally really love Victoria Harbour. I love the ferries, and how they are so much an integral part of public transport here.Nature in the midst of the city. Victoria Park. Hong Kong Park. Kowloon Park. Shek O. Lamma Island. Lantau Island. Scenic getaways to relieve the stress of a bustling city. The old-world charm of Hong Kong. The fact that sometimes it will surprise you. The mix of traditional streets & modern buildings.Definitely a food paradise.Purely a personal favourite - the availability of C.C. Lemon. Of course this drink is available in Taiwan too, so it doesn't really count. But I stock up on this yummy Vit C drink when I'm here~The mish-mash of people from all over the world, or people who have traveled all over the world. HK is their city of dreams. They really should make a movie .
