When I woke up this morning at 5a.m., the full moon was still hanging in the sky & the sun had not woken up yet. It’s the 15th day of Chinese New Year, known as “chap goh meh”. The moon is at its fullest..
My early start is due to the early morning prayer meetings this week, from 6:30 - 7:30a.m. at Jurong West. I barely slept for 2.5 hours the previous night, but still got out of bed to attend the prayer time. I realised I haven’t really committed time to God for a long while, and it’s time to get things back in focus again. Somehow I feel so many things have happened since the previous early morning prayer meetings in November last year. Many things to thank God for.
Yesterday I re-learnt the importance of being faithful in the little things. The little details do matter. And if you want to do great things, you must first start small. Many times I overlook or skim over details, because I am naturally a very confident & capable person, so I assume everything will run well & that I’ll be able to handle any situation that comes along.
During ministry this past weekend, a few mistakes occurred that could have been prevented. And I realised I came to a place of complacency. Or rather, I did not serve with the right purpose. During my briefing times before service started, I prayed that the team members would receive a fresh vision & fresh revelations from God about why we serve. This prayer was very relevant to my own situation.
I need fresh mannafrom heaven. So many talents & gifts which I want to invest into God’s kingdom. But I am seeking to do it in the right way, to be involved in what God is doing.
I am planning to move to Taipei next year.
It is something I’ve been talking about & dreaming about for a long while. And I’ve finally decided to do it. I’ll be praying over it. Hoping that God will speak to me regarding this plan & if it is in His will. I’m full of hope & anticipation, but apprehensive at the same time, not knowing what to expect.
Is it time to step out of my comfort zone?
