Finally, HE is back!

It’s been too long. Today, I am dedicating this post to a true star-in-the-making.

What big words! But what can his critics say, when he is absolutely right?

Over the summer transfer period, Cristiano Ronaldo created a furore between two of the world’s greatest football clubs, Manchester United & Real Madrid. The tussle that ensued only cemented his place as the potential World Footballer of the Year.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the footballer that critics love to hate. His stepovers, tricks & precocious winks lead many to claim that his arrogance is too big for the game, BUT we continue watching him anyway.

Why? You just don’t take your eyes off Cristiano. When he gets the ball, people wait with bated breath, expecting him to conjure magic out of thin air. And sometimes, he does. With a sublime tap, powerful header, terrifying defender-tormenting pace (and sometimes, an artistic dive), Cristiano provides sheer entertainment in the game of football.

As you can tell, I adore Cristiano Ronaldo.

The moment was 2006. The event was the World Cup, Germany. The team was Portugal. The wonder-boy was Cristiano. I can honestly tell you, I’ve never seen someone play the game with so much fire and passion. He truly loves the game, and as his fan, it’s a joy to watch him play.

Despite the mayhem that he creates within his club, I still believe in his talent. It’s all too easy to forget that he is just a young man of 23 years. But I think it’s inspiring that he is able to use his talent, develop it to its greatest potential & showcase it on the world stage.

He does make mistakes along the way. But I believe that Real Madrid truly is his dream. A dream that he may have to wait for, another level up.

But at the heart of the whole matter, Cristiano Ronaldo is an inspiring footballer. Because he is living his dream.
