Got here early in the morning on 7 Dec. Checked-in at 4:30a.m. to be precise. And they were shocked to see me there… “Do you know what time it is??”All I could say was: “Yeah, I know. I just got in.”
Landed at Macau instead. Took a ferry across & then a cab to the hostel. Looks like a nice residential neighbourhood, which is awesome. Managed to get my HK number – I’m in business – Yay!
Monday dawned. And my first task was to find lunch. Wandered to Causeway Bay & spent some time deciding what to eat before settling at the place.
Yes, I know it’s a Shanghai place, and not exactly local food.
But I’m hungry!
The soya milk was definitely delicious.
Because it’s winter time & the skies turn dark so early, the bright lights make the city shine! I almost can’t believe I’m here – in Hong Kong!
Took it slow the first day. Didn’t wanna get trapped in all the touristy stuff so my first day was mainly spent foraging around for food.
Ended up with a nice Teochew porridge for dinner.
More Updates Soon!
Especially on Jeanne Hartman’s awesome workshop!
