“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen;
it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
- Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) -
Faith comes in so many different forms.
Faith manifests itself in the most mundane of situations.
In the midst of a sudden crisis…
When I’m down to my last dollar…
When the show looks like it’s falling apart…
Or simply when I’m standing at a bus-stop waiting for my bus.
Faith is more than a belief. More than a feeling of security.
Much more than a sense of optimism.
Through it all, I’ve always loved You. Faith that the world is in Your hands.
My eyes seem clouded momentarily.
The darkness descends, whilst the light is still shining brightly through the fog.
My heart is still true. Outwardly, I struggle.
“You can only know how strong temptation is by resisting it.
After all you find the strength of the wind by walking against it,
not by lying down.”
- Herman, “The Screwtape Letters” -
And I am resisting it. Trying hard to be good.
The tussle between good and evil is always present. It all depends on your choice.
My choice.
Faith.
God is still here. His blessings are still flowing in my life.
I have finances streaming in. PTL. Doors have opened. Auditioning for an OKTO Drama. Invited to do shows for The Fun Stage.
Changes in my beloved Chorus Board ministry, all for the better.
Love in my life, my family.
Nothing has changed in my faith, my heart.
I just have to resist, time and again.
Faith that persists.
My will chooses to be in His will. I will be strong enough to choose good.
No one is making it difficult for me. I am making things difficult for myself.
Faith. Through it all.
