“Belief” Amidst The Rain

After I wrote my previous entry, a torrent of rain surrounded my house.

As I’ve written before, I love rainy weather. So suddenly, I had this incredible feeling that I wanted to enjoy the moment. Closing the door, I draw up the blinds, turn off the lights, and sit in my cushioned chair, watching the rain fall outside. The sky is not completely dark, but rather, a stormy purple colour. Lightning flashes across the sky, as a loud rumble of thunder echoes through the night. 

The beautiful music of the rain in the silence of the night brings a calmness to my heart and mind. I feel like it’s just the rain, and me. No one else, nothing else… Just the rain & me.

I started speaking to God, sharing my thoughts, fears, desires. Asking Him for the desires of my heart. But at the same time, I commit my life to Him. Every single being is created by Him. He alone is Lord of the whole earth.

After turning on the lights, I listen to this song, “Belief”  by Gavin DeGraw.
