Who can ever forget the swinging 60s and the roaring 70s?
‘Tis the decadent period for great music, greater parties and even the greatest women.
We witnessed the emergence of Woodstock music festivals, hippies, drugs and aesthetic eroticism.
The Decadence can be abysmal but then, there were so much that had happened to shape history.
For now, let us experience a resurgence of the past.
Let’s go retro, man.
When it come to hits, the meaningful oldies are so much better for their vintage value.
Not just the songs and dances and fashion, but the beautiful women.
Women with “character”, who characterized that period filled with pomp and excitement.
SOMEHOW these days, the present just don’t measure up.
It’s fine wine that mellows sweeter with age.
And this is invaluable.
LIN DAI (TOP 2 pictures)
My mother used to idolize the late LIN DAI , 4 times ASIAN MOVIE QUEE N, a feat that no Asian Star has surpassed till today.
LIN DAI had sparkling soulful eyes, a beautiful face and body and unbelievable acting talent.
She was likened to ELIZABETH TAYLOR in those days, but unlike Miss Taylor, she did not marry 8 times to 7 husbands. For an Asian, such an act was unthinkable. 8 times, huh?!!
LIN DAI died of a deliberate drug overdose in 1964 before her 30th birthday over marital angst. It was a suicide attempt.
Immensely popular with both fame and money, she was in her own sense, a lonely and unhappy woman.
Life at the top may not be all glitter.
JENNY HU (3rd and 4th rows)
Of German and Chinese parentage, JENNY HU was one glamorous diva in the late 60s.
She had that soulful sex appeal, charisma and seductive eyes that can bowl any hot blooded male over any time.
I had met her once in Hong Kong in the early 80s, and was enthralled by her natural captivating charm.
She had a “presence” that can set any man’s heart aflutter.
To me, JENNY HU was the perennial sex symbol, a glamour puss without having to resort to stripping for the camera.
She had a class and style of her own.
And JENNY HU is still stunningly attractive today.
LIN CHING HSIA (last row)
She’s beautiful no doubt, but a serene, desolate kind of beauty.
Her myriads of the lovelorn damsel-in-distress roles in movies could have moulded her to be as such.
LIN CHING HSIA could be Asia’s best loved and mystical actress, but she is no party animal as she prefers the company of close friends than rounds of aimless socializing.
She is aloof as she discovered fame at an early age, and is tired of the paparazzi who is relentlessly hounding her for rubbishy gossip.
She is now happily married to billionaire MICHAEL YING, the ex-CEO of ESPRIT HOLDINGS and is blissfully retired from the long stressful hours of meaningless waiting and filming.
We often hear that a thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Its loveliness increases.
It will never pass into nothingness.
Or is it really?
KOOL? Sure! NO - We are NOT a varsity campus (funny if you think so). CERTAINLY - we are a 100% professional beating-heart FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY. We are h
