Just a warm welcome to one of my best friends, aka my brother, aka my partner in crime - Eric Lin - for joining the AnD family. Can't believe it's been over a decade since we've known each other, I still remember our first rendezvous in the office of Film Arts Foundation, when both of us were still living in San Francisco then. I received a small grant from FAF to make my very short film (before film school,) I posted a little sign on the little bulletin board, looking for cast / crew help, and Eric answered my post... and that's when and where our friendship and collaboration started.
I love what he wrote in his first blog. It is exactly like what he said, film-making is a battle, especially independent film-making. Eric and I fought many battles together, since the very beginning, and along the way during each battle, we bonded and gained a few more family members, a few more super-friends. The bats are growing in this bat cave. Us mutants will find and support each other to continue this fight.
He's an amazing cinematographer, a great writer/director and above all, an amazing friend. And here is my public apology for putting him in all the inhumane shooting/fighting conditions, time and time again, one film after another... (so E, you ready for our next fight? )
So go check out his profile page and give him a big and warm welcome.
