Kevin Ung is a filmmaker currently based in Hong Kong. In 2010, he was selected as part of a group of Hong Kong’s young film talents to showcase an original short in the Freshwave International Short Film Festival. Given the opportunity he wrote and directed Chubby Can Kill (肥仔成龍) entirely in Cantonese, a language he had to learn throughout the creation of the film. Chubby Can Kill (肥仔成龍) screened mid-September 2010 at Broadway Cinematique in Hong Kong and received a special mention. As of early 2011, Chubby has been selected to screen at various international festivals and has been nominated for, and won several awards.
