I'm quit re-knowned to disappear completely off the radar once in a while.
Took a short break in Sydney and Byron Bay, escaping from the wintery cold frost of Melbourne City. Word of the day "Delightful", it was a challenged put to me by a friend, to use as much as possible. Its quit adictive after a while, you seem to fall in to a trap of using it, in a way which is un-concisiously implanted in your speech rythm.
Anyways Sydney was "Delightful", a different energy about the place compared to Melbourne. Then decided to travel up north to Byron Bay. Depending where your coming from Byron Bay is in N.S.W territory but it takes rough 25min south of Coolangata (QLD).
The place is very friendly and laid back, beaches were beautiful. Its like a hippie town to a certain extent. Spend most of my time just lounging around teh beach and whale/dolphin watching.
On a few occasions got up at 6.39am to catch the sunrise, absolute breath taking. Just strolling along the beach to Cape Byron where the light house is situated, from here you can spot whales and dolphines. Didn't want to leave, but was forced to come back to the city. Overall the getaway was "Deligtful".
