Veteran character actor Clyde Kusatsu is joining Sally Field, Adam Arkin, Amy Brenneman, Dulé Hill, Ken Howard, Ned Vaughn and more than a dozen other Screen Actors Guild members in running for the SAG board.
As a slate called “Unite for Strength,” these SAG members believe that the Guild needs new leadership to fight effectively for their careers against increasingly powerful media conglomerates. Read more about their cause at http://uniteforstrength.com.
Clyde has always been one of my favorite actors, especially since he’s also a son of Hawai’i. His career ranges from roles on MAGNUM, P.I., MAS*H, KUNG FU, ALL IN THE FAMILY, ALL-AMERICAN GIRL and STAR TREK: NEXT GENERATION to contemporary roles on YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, STILL STANDING and HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY (playing the father of John Cho’s character).
Visit http://www.clydekusatsu.com for details about our fundraiser we're having for Clyde in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, on Sat. Aug. 23, from 9-11 p.m.
