‘It’s OK’ Campaign Promoting Awareness of Mental Health Issues

its_ok_campaign

We represent the Corporate Asian American Employee Network (CAAEN) Leadership Training Program. As our group project we are launching the “it’s ok” campaign, to bring attention to and promote awareness of mental health issues in the Asian community. By leveraging the power of social media, we hope to foster greater dialogue about mental health issues, eliminate the stigma associated with it, and connect those seeking help with one another and with the many resources available to them in their communities, throughout the Bay Area and across the country.

Our campaign is centered on our Facebook (FB) page which will contain uplifting messages, powerful statistics on mental health, interesting articles and events, and links to resources including mental health providers, community groups and other organizations. There is also a separate online forum for anonymously sharing thoughts, feelings, or stories about mental health experiences.

We have “soft” launched our FB page, which is now visible to the public. In addition to this email, a separate invitation will be sent to you and/or your FB page administrator directly.

You can find the page here:

Our web forum can be found here:

We are starting a soft launch TODAY and the official launch date of our campaign is Friday, May 10th, which is also Asian Pacific American Mental Health Day in the State of California and City & County of San Francisco.

Can we enlist your support in this worthwhile endeavor?  Through your valuable contribution, we can touch the lives of many members of our communities and aid them in finding the help that they need.

HOW YOU CAN HELP ON THIS CAMPAIGN!
