The 1st Annual Napa Valley Aloha Festival by the Manaleo Hawaiian Cultural Foundation takes places on Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Napa Valley Expo, 575 Third St., in Napa.
The event has been planning for more than a year now and will feature numerous facets of Hawaiian culture: music, dance, storytelling, kapa making, poi making, history of Hawaiians in Hawai’i as well as Hawaiian history in California.
“This Annual Napa Valley Aloha Festival is the means by which we help preserve the Hawaiian culture here and in Hawaii,” said Tasi Alo, who informed me of the event.
