Well Wishes to the Taiwanese Disaster Victims|給臺灣災民的祝福|给台湾灾民的祝福

I remember the first time I went to Taiwan, I was still very young and I went there with my family for a holiday. We visited many tourist attractions and the most memorable place that left a deep lasting impression on my mind was the fascinating and captivating scenery of Mount Ali (Alishan). Our entire family took photos there as a snapshot of our memory. I can still clearly remember how beautiful the scenery was, everywhere looked picturesque. I think that those of you who’ve had the opportunity to visit the place would have felt the same way.

Over the past week, I think you would have seen the large scale of mass destruction that the typhoon has caused in Taiwan and in many provinces around China, particularly in Southern Taiwan – a region that has suffered enormous devastation. These disaster struck areas have been demolished. Seeing those images was especially heartbreaking and sad because after all, to me, Taiwan is a very special place. Over the past ten years or so, I’ve spent a lot of time working in Taiwan; it’s almost like a second home for me. I met a lot of friends here and I’ve experienced many memorable moments - work related as well as casual things in life. I’ve had so many wonderful and happy memories and there is no way that it will ever be wiped away. To me, this place always has a special presence of friendship…

This devastating disaster is massive. Every person who is capable of helping should offer a helping hand! During these times in need, we are all one family. We shouldn’t differentiate each other as you and I. The Hong Kong Artistes Guild Association will soon hold a large-scale fundraising event for the cause so no matter what part of the world you’re from, I hope that everyone will be able to offer your love, compassion and concern for the disaster victims, allowing all those affected by the terrible destruction to receive the help and assistance that they need.

The impact and devastation caused by this natural disaster is truly so vast. Even though the beauty of the mountain scenery has gone, our love and compassion still exists. Let us bring our love and compassion to the hands of those who need it so that they have the opportunity to quickly rebuild their homes and welcome their new and stable future livelihoods. |

過去的一個星期，大家都看到颱風吹襲臺灣及中國多個省份的威力是何等巨大，當中尤其以臺灣南部地區受到極大的摧毀，那些災區滿目蒼夷，看到這些畫面後我覺得特別心痛，因為畢竟臺灣對我而言是一個很特別的地方，在過去的十年多我花了很多時間在那裏工作，就好像我第二個家一樣，在這裏我認識了很多朋友，在工作及平常生活中也有過很多難忘的經歷，及很多美麗又愉快的回憶是永遠無法抹去的，所以這個地方對我來說是有一份特別的情誼在...

發生了這樣巨大的災害，有能力的每一個人都要出力支援！這個時候大家都是一家人，不分你我，香港演藝人協會也將會舉行大型的籌款活動，所以無論您來自世界各地，希望所有朋友奉獻出您們的愛心與關懷，讓在災難中受影響的災民得到援助。
