MySpace A Place for Hip Hop and the most hard-working woman I know, Roslynn, put together a great show on Friday. NAS. Half man, half amazing. I haven't seen an emcee rock the crowd that way in a long time. Every verse he spit had such conviction. He put on a show as if it was his last. Maybe it's because it's the first time I've seen him live, or maybe it's because he's Nas, or maybe because it was Nas live at the Roxy in Hollywood. He definitely had some hits throughout his career. Illmatic will always be one of my favorite albums.
And you know Nas had to give his two cents on Reverend Jackson's comments on Obama, past leaders versus the future, and Fox News.
