Teddy Kumpel worked with lots of incredible names: Feist, Nine Inch Nails, Omar Hakim, Janet Jackson, Sex Mob, Tower of Power, Frankie Paul, Dennis Brown, The Barbarians, The Supremes and more, and is now performing with our very own drum master Jun Kung in the band《Body Check》. Armed with improvised Psychedelic and Funk tunes, this super-group is ready to take on the HIDDEN AGENDA LIVE HOUSE!

Despite what the multi layered sound might tell you, everything you hear from Teddy Kumpel and Body Check on record and stage is played live. With innovative use of looping technology and vast experience mangling vintage sounds, Body Check effortlessly creates myriad textures that make you think there must be a whole slew of musicians hiding backstage. A veritable funkdafied psychedelic orchestra posing as a rock quartet!

Teddy Kumpel has been a sought after guitar slinger for artists including Rickie Lee Jones, Feist, Marshall Crenshaw and Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors as well as a respected producer/mixer in NY's fertile indie rock scene. Now he is ready to return to an earlier pursuit, improvised music with deep pocket and no artificial boundaries.

Teddy Says: "I've been a songwriter for EMI and a sideman for Nine Inch Nails, but before that I led an instrumental funk band called "Nome Sane?" with Tony Scherr on bass, Andy Middleton on saxophone and the great Brian Dunne on drums. I feel a return to that music now but in a new form: Teddy Kumpel and Body Check.”

Jun Kung is hands-down, the most exciting musician in South Asia. His thrilling drumming and singing lifts the audience and leaves them breathless. His pop production, arrangement and uncanny multi-instrumental skills have put him right where he belongs: at the top of the music industry in the region. In addition to all this, Jun is an incredible band man: a true team player, and a very down to earth, friendly guy. Jun's impossibly deep groove makes him a great catch for Body Check.
