USA vs. CHINA WTF!!!

After waiting an entire day for the most anticipated game of the Olympics, I found out right before tip off that they are not showing the game on Taiwan cable tv!!!!!  I was this close to throwing my tv out the window.

It all started on opening day when Taiwan TV decided to go to commercial break during the most important part of the opening ceremony.  WTF!!!!!!!!!!  Ok...So I let that one go cuz I caught the rest on the replay. I figured since Taiwan has a huge basketball following, I was sure to catch the USA vs. CHINA game with no technical difficulties. But NOOOOOOOO!!!! It turns out they are only showing on satellite TV!   As I flipped through all 100+ channels on my remote, I found out the hard way that they were showing freakin SOCCER on the sports channels!!! SOCCER!!!!  EVEN HK HAD ACCESS TO THE GAME AND THEY NEVER FOLLOW BASKETBALL.

Anyway, thanks to YO WEI, I was fortunate enough to hunt down a sportsbar where they actually showed the game.  It turned out to be a pretty great game despite the fact that China lost by 31 pts.  I really think the China team has improved over the years. Their defense and hustle was definitely there.  But when it comes down to talent , China just didn't have enough to finish strong in the second half.  The USA team looked great!! It was definitely a sight to see all of the top players in the NBA on one team.  On a personal note, I'm a hardcore Kobe fan but after watching Lebron tonight, I think Lebron is definitely the best player in the world.

HERE COMES KING JAMES!!!!!

TAIWAN HAS TO FIRE THIER TV PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE(If there's one). PLEASE DONT ROB THE VIEWERS RIGHT TO WATCH THE MOST IMPORTANT SPORTING EVENT IN HISTORY.

It is already better than the situation here in sf, you know they're not even showing the opening ceremony live... nbc acquired the exclusive broadcasting right to the game, so we can only see few of the selected games with a big focus n the usa team only...
