I know this entry is a bit delayed, but better late than never! :)
So this turned out to be the first year, since moving to Hong Kong, that my wife was in town during Halloween. So we decided that we should do a couple theme of some kind. After a lot of brainstorming, the one idea we were able to agree on was being Inspector Gadget and his niece, Penny.
For those unfamiliar with the awesome cartoon series that is Inspector Gadget, here's a reference we went by for coming up with the costume.
So what do you think? I know what you're thinking.... where's Brain, the dog? We left him at home. Figured a talking dog wouldn't go over well in a night club. Might start humping the legs of girls dressed as sexy nurses or something.
Outside in the press area, I started bumping into some homies and homegirls.
Chung Tsang as "Bootleg Freddy Krueger"
This movie directed by James Cameron, according to the liner notes on the Chinese DVD. ;)
Rene Wai as a super sweet anime character
Desmond So as the White Swan
Emilie Broyelle as a pirate "Aye! Avast!" ;)
And Jona Lam snapping pics of Justin Lim as Kato
Inside the Party!
Inspector Gadget and Penny reunite to crack the case!!!
The Case of the Sexy Playboy Bunnies! Joey Kwok and Gloria Wong!
With some assistance from Kick Ass (Derrick Fong)!
Which one of these people were really responsible for the disappearences?! Was it Kat Zai? Was it Patrick Lee? or possibly even Sexy Charlie Chaplin?
Juju Chan knows the answer! She unzips this guy's mask to reveal... Old Man Smit... oh wait, that was that actual guy's face! Oops
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the haunted mansion, a pirate was mugging The Hamburglar, disguised as Ronald McDonald...
... and Miss Yellow was spinning fresh beats.
Thanks to Derrick Fong for snapping up this pic.
And many thanks to Gloria, Joey and all the other lovelys for making this pic possible. ;)
I'm going to have a talk with Chief Quimby when I get back to the station... all these hot chicks at the scene of the crime... and no sign of The Claw!?! Hmmm... must have been a typo somewhere on his mission letter.
