Yeah, unfortunately I wasn't able to make the first party with Ryan Hui and Tonik performing.
I had promised a friend of mine long ago that I would finally attend a seminar with her on the same day. I would have ditched the seminar, but I figured "well there's two other events" and also "ah, the party will still be going after the seminar is over, I imagine, so I'll go after." After the seminar, however, I was introduced to a friend of my friend.
She was a hot banker girl who found me being an artist to be very intriguing. So intriguing that when we were leaving the seminar, she tells me "How about I buy you a drink? One drink and then you can go to your artist event." I figure, how can I resist such an offer?
So after she had bought be about 4 drinks or so, I start getting calls and texts from my homies who were at the racetrack saying, "Where the f*ck are you? When are you getting here? People are starting to leave?"
I was like "oh snap! I'm missing it!" but before I hopped in a cab to Happy Valley, I get word from the crew that they are all going to Racks, which was a two block walk away from where I was. So I kind of gave up on catching the first of 3 AnD anniversary parties and just figured I'd meet them all there.
At Racks, I bump into Kirt Kishita, Mike Chan, Chi Chi, Angel, Rex, and various others.... and I see Kirt and Mike sporting the new look AnD hat. Ohhhh! So jealous.
So now I know I got to catch the next one for sure.... shame I missed it as I made sure to wear my AnD merch... but that didn't stop me from taking a couple of pics to support! So without further adieu, I give you some pics for the 1st AnD anniversary party (as opposed to at the party).
This last picture was taken by Mike Chan.... I only have vague recollection of taking this picture and no recollection of why I unbuttoned my shirt so much. In either case......
