Fashion Styles the Valley!

I missed the first two weeks due to various scheduling issues, but I was super excited to check out Fashion Styles the Valley - Week 3!

And then wouldn't you know it, last minute something came up that I had to go to, but that wasn't going to stop me from racing to the racetrack and getting in a good 20 minutes of Happy Wednesday.

I have to admit I was at least partially there on business.  Now that I'm taking pics for Fukulog, I figured "what better place to get random pics of fashionable people than at a fashion event at the Racetrack?"  ;)

Right off the bat, I bumped into Raffi, who told me the way to the promised land of free beers...

Then I bumped into Derrick, who gave this badass pose that reminded me of an Asian Steve McQueen...

Desmond got on the mic and kicked off the event as our evening's Master of Ceremonies...

Meanwhile, I snuck in a photoshoot of my first model of the night... Harry Du Young

Travis Pang came out with his crew and busted out the moves like only Travis and his crew can do...

Then I bumped into my next fashion model for the night... Andrew Ng

After doing Andrew's photoshoot, I decided to finally get in front of the cam to showcase my own outfit in a pic with Andrew and Tiana...

That's right!  I busted out the Versace for H&M, sporting the t-shirt, matching scarf and even the sneakers (unseen in this pic)

I bumped into Travis, as he got off stage...

Plus, I got in a photo of this dude... the Happy Wednesday mascot!

Then I got in a photoshoot with my third model of the night.... Vivian Siu

After Vivian's shoot, I look at my watch and... "Crap!"  I had to be back in Central 5 minutes ago!  Needed to get the hell out of dodge and into a cab to race to my next shindig.

As I was running, I start bumping into more fabulous people...

Gloria was looking speechlessly awesome.

Joey was looking sweet as always

I bumped into Joey and Cupid at the same time and ended up getting caught up in a Cantonese language interview which was hilarious and awkward at the same time.  As the camera rolled, Joey, Cupid and I cheered... then an interviewer put the mic to our faces. 

Then the conversation kind of went like this from my understanding...

Interviewer to me: "Neih sik mh sik gong guan dong wah?" ("Do you speak Cantonese?")

Me: "Siu Siu la." ("very little.")

Interviewer: says something very fast in Cantonese that I understood none of...

Me: Shocked, frozen look of "uhmmm" and then laughter

Interviewer: says something else very fast in Cantonese that I was still not sure what he said

Me: "Haih a." (Yes.)

Interviewer: laughter

Me: "Mh Haih ah?" (No?)

Interviewer: says something else in Cantonese

Me: "Hoh Ging Ah!"

Interviewer: laughs

Cupid and Joey: clap and cheer

Then I join in a cheer for the camera with Cupid and Joey again.

After that, I got a quick pic of Derrick, Dan F, and Chung.

Time running out.... I took a pic of this guy as I was running for the exit. Wish I had time to do a full photoshoot of him for the Fukulog.

Running to the exit, almost there... passing by the dressing tent, I took a quick pic of the behind the scenes...

Then I got into an awkward conversation with a girl named Grace, who I had met on set of a TVC back in the day, but didn't really remember me... then her friend Goo-lum came over.  She remembered me, but I was hazy on recalling her, until she reminded me she met me at the LMF finale afterparty... which I was admittedly too drunk to remember anything very clearly, but I didn't remember adding her to facebook and saying we should work together one day.

No more time to chat, I had to run and I raced out the exit and into a cab.

Once I got to where I was going, I realized that I hadn't taken a proper pic of me by myself and showing off the full ensemble.... so I took this pic.

So there you have it.... a pimp and his fashionable pimp gear. 

Overall awesome event!  Hope they have more like it.  Big ups to the guys in 24Herbs, who I heard put on an awesome performance as they always rock the house.  I'll have to check them out next time as well.
