My dad had an operation yesterday to remove an extra growth of bone at his left shoulder blade. He said due to carrying too much heavy stuff last time in Army. He has been working for many many years. From school teacher to army officer, to giving insurance talks to army camps then helping out his cousin in some security business...now finally retired. He's turning 66 this year.
He said now surgery is advanced, instead of cutting open, they just drill 2 holes into the shoulder, insert a 'video' thing to carry out the surgery based on the visual image. Yesterday we visited him, and met my 3 aunties and an aunt's hubby. One aunt asked me about my current piano teaching job, and she said something which mattered to me most, which was to my dad "You have about 3 mths to recover, then you can walk your daughter into the church". I was worried for my dad on Monday when he went in. So i prayed quietly for him. Glad that God has showered His blessings and my dad looked even better today when i visited him just now with my mum. He's very old...and my youngest bro is only like 15 years old...that's why previously even when he's supposed to retire, he still worked way beyond his retirement age. Last time he married late due to having to support his siblings, as his parents, especially the mother, died at an early age. He's the eldest, and my mum the eldest daughter. So both kinda supported their siblings and married late. Although he nags at home from time to time, he's a very good man with a very good heart. And everytime when he enters the hospital for something, i feel worried for him. Feel that i do not wanna lose him, kinda vulnerable. I love him. I really wish for the day that he walk me in the church on my wedding day. Guess that'd probably be the happiest day of my life...haha im almost crying now :PP God bless my family and all families out there, Amen.
