Mid-Autumn Festival, and it’s Chinese tradition to be celebrating the holiday by eating “Mooncakes”.
It is a date that parallels the autumn and spring Equinoxes of the solar calendar, when the moon is supposedly at its fullest and roundest.
It is also said that this year’s moon is the brightest looking of all in this century. Something quite special to know.
昨天是中秋節,華人除了春節之外,最重大的節日。
大家都知道,中秋節的月亮最大,最圓,
但聽説今年的月亮是這世紀最亮的一次!
images taken with my M8.2 Safari, using 1:1.4/50 Summilux lens, not exactly the best lens for the job… but i thought some turned out pretty decent.
Happy Moon Day! 中秋節快樂!
