I'm truly amazed by Singapore's isolated thunderstorms. Yesterday I was driving on AYE from Keppel road after back to back appointments and experienced the heaviest of rains. Visibility from the extremely heavy rain was so bad that I could barely see the car in front of me even though the brake lights were switched on. After which I drove into MCE tunnel which was a great relief from the rain. When I exited the MCE tunnel onto ECP, roads were dry, sky was blue and the sun was out, as if I drove through a wormhole into another world altogether. What a huge difference in weather conditions just from travelling a few kilometers further, as if MCE was a rain barrier between expressways. I'm home.
