I love Katsu-don. So had to try out this popular katsu-don restaurant in Osaka. It's a quaint little store that seats only 10pax, so it was no surprise that there was a queue of Japanese waiting for a seat during lunchtime. Even though there was a long queue, they had an efficient system to minimize your waiting time. Orders were taken while you were in the queue and you pay for your meal before entering. When it is your turn to sit, your meal is served within a minute or so. Everyone just finished up their meal and left immediately to give up the space for the next customer. The wait for this katsu-don was worth it! I could really taste the bonito flavor in the soup and the eggs were runny and soft! The rice served with it was beautifully cooked and fragrant. Each piece of pork was freshly fried and piping hot and crispy when served. Though the chef looked so stern and focused while cooking. The minute I took a photo he automatically posed for the photo without me knowing! Lol!
A must-go for place in Osaka for Katsu-don lovers!
