Dear Friends, I usually don't blog about politics and really I hope you will allow me some leeway today.
I live in a country that offers their citizens the opportunity to voice their opinions and vote on their leaders. For so many years I have been disappointed how few people have chosen to act on that right.
This year I am so happy that people are making a huge effort to chose to act on that right.
For years when people would complain about something the government was doing I would ask them if they voted in the last election whether it was local, state or national. If they said No, I would tell them that I didn't want to hear their opinion. When they tried to continue I firmly told them that I did not want to hear it because I figured they had given up that right to complain, at least to me! (No they didn't like it but.....)
So I am so proud that I probably won't have to say that very much this coming year!
Now please allow me to share a video that was shared with me today. Yes it is partisan but I hope for those of you who have a different opinion you will look at the bigger picture. And for those of you from other countries reading this I hope that our whole world can get beyond boundaries and realize that this song is really for the world -- at least that's just one opinion -- mine.
And Music is Universal, isn't it?
thanks for listening to me and to this. And by the way i choose this color because when you mix red and blue you get PURPLE.
