More than 1,400 people stopped by Friday night for the opening of “Work in Progress” presented by Swire Properties at Somerset House in Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. With international artists organized by Hong Kong gallery Above Second and local artists brought by Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (YAF), the exhibition spans the loading bay and 13th floor of the defunct office space. This exhibition, one of the biggest street art exhibitions ever to be presented in Asia, hopes to change the perspective of individuals about the artistic credibility of street art. The exhibition’s dynamic is playful and inspiring, presenting a mix of old and new school techniques and expressing a wide range of international perspectives and styles. The exhibition will be open to the public from June 17th – July 7th.
