i had an incredible birthday party (thanks everybody) - i will upload photos soon!!!
and now, i'm in Thailand (Chiangrai, Chiang Mai) for another week...

Oh my gosh!! it's my birthday and i'm SOOOOOOOO happy!!! i don't want to spend too much time indoors because it's such a beautiful day outside, but i just wanted to say how happy I am. here' s a short list of reasons why (in no particular order other than how they just came to my brain):
the weather is PERFECT!
my parents have flown in from Houston to celebrate my 30th with me.

It is pretty late (12:23am) so i won't write too much now, but i just wanted to say THANK YOU so much to everybody who came out today to listen to my little speech and to buy my book today!!
it was such a wonderful turn-out for my first book signing ever and i was so so excited that i was able to meet so many of y'all and see some old friends! Of course, i'm also just SO relieved that people showed up!!!
